Mec Arte, established in 2011 in Carmagnola by Ivana Guarini and Valter Rossero, was founded to deal with industrial mechanics and fixing of special machines. The brand now praises thirty years of expertise in this sector. The “iron couple” as the owners define themselves, designs and produces gates, railings, gazebos and little orangeries. Mec Arte is also involved in sculpture thanks to Ivana Guarini’s talent. Since the Nineties she has carried on the artistic iron manufacturing with the use of other materials like wood, glass, plexiglass and ceramic. Colour is barely used because the glare of light produces magnificent shades and turn each creation alive through the creative polishing. Ivana Guarini and Valter Rossero produce artworks such as thorough roses, jewel clutches and English-style headbands, entirely iron-made, that can also be gift ideas or party favours. In 2018, during Sposi In exhibition (at Stupinigi Palace), the innovative collection of iron-made wedding dresses has been launched. Nowadays Mec Arte offers furnishing accessories, lamps, pictures, gift ideas and fashion items using the most flexible material ever: iron. Mec Arte took part to several exhibitions. In 2017, they attended Mag Padova - Mediolanum Artist Gallery, whose curator was Vittorio Sgarbi. During I Love IT (at Manifattura Aurora) they exhibited the sculpture dress named “Iris la dama senza volto” (“Iris, the lady with no name”); during Palermo Capital City of Culture Mec Arte won the first prize for an iron-made sculpture. In occasion of Barolo Fashion Show the brand exhibited the sculptures “Origami dresses” and the artwork “Dafne”, totally iron-made. During Milan Met Art (at Alda Merini museum) they took part to the runway show with an iron dress and they also realized the Nativity sculpture settled in Stupinigi palace during the Royal Christmas event.
